Too Close To Call: Whitesides Campaign Statement on Outstanding Votes in Race for CA-27

AGUA DULCE, CA – Today, Emma Harris, campaign manager, released the following statement:

“Yesterday, voters made their voices heard across our district. We couldn’t be more grateful for the hard work and support of folks from across the district and country. Our race against incumbent Rep. Mike Garcia remains too close to call.

We have always known that the path to taking back the majority of the U.S. House runs through CA-27 – and that couldn’t be more true today. With control of the House hanging in the balance, our race is more important than ever.

There are still tens of thousands of uncounted ballots in our district. George enjoyed a strong advantage with the vote by mail (VBM) ballots that were released last night, and we know there are thousands more to come over the next week.

The LA County Registrar will be releasing more vote totals every afternoon, and there will be more VBM ballots counted. We are looking forward to the updated vote tally and will continue to send out updates accordingly.

In the meantime, George and our team are working hard to ensure that every vote is counted.”
